Eddie and I would know when we were ready, I knew Elio was right about that, so I only nodded. It was something I had learned a lot about in recent months, as much as I could, but it was the second part of what Elio was talking about that interested me more.

I know how to kill a Many-Eyed, but not how to cook much more than grilled cheese and stove top soup. I'm also still very confused by money. I know I need to pay for things, I can't just take them anymore, but it seems much more complicated when you're on your own. Right now the workers at the Home take care of my money for me. They put it all in savings and then give me some for spending when I need things."
