"Nah, it'll be nice to be just us twins," I say with a smirk, nudging him
with my shoulder again before we start walking off together, side by side.
I've mostly gotten used to being around someone who looks exactly like me,
and now it's kind of fun to see the slight double takes when people see us
together. I never had a sibling, let alone a twin, and I have to wonder if
it might feel something like this. "Besides, I want to hear all about how
it's going with Eddie."
I'm not sure why that I'm so invested in their blossoming romance, but
they're both good, sweet kids and it's nice to see them find happiness in
each other without all the trepidation that comes with the stigma of being
queer. Here, we aren't other. We blend in seamlessly.
We get to the ticket booth and I wave off Jamie's attempts to pay for
himself as I get us each a wristband. "You can buy me a caramel apple
later."
