That was likely true. It wasn't as if the maze was overly complex and I thought if Eddie shouted our names, we could probably be able to find him fairly quickly. Even as I thought that, though, I glanced around and followed Richie. The maze seemed darker than before, the walls thicker.

I had to be imagining it, though. I had been here only a few days before, it couldn't have changed that much in such a short amount of time.

"Hey, wait," I said, hurrying after Richie. "This place seems odd, doesn't it? I mean... more than it used to."
