I shook my head. I hadn't seen him. That didn't mean he wasn't here somewhere, but I thought it was less likely with each passing moment. It seemed like all my friends had woken up here in the tree, here with me, and I didn't like to think of Eddie waking up anywhere else. Not on this Island, not with the dangers present.

"I don't think so," I said. "The only way to be sure is to search the Island and Peter will want to know why I'm doing that."

I had to keep Eddie a secret from Peter. I couldn't let him know.
