I didn't think Eddie was all that weird, but we had only just met, so maybe there was something odd about him that I hadn't yet seen. It wouldn't matter to me either, because I was a little weird, especially compared to the other kids who lived here. And it was nice, thinking I might not be alone in that. It was nice not being alone in anything.

"I think it'd be weird if I were alone. It wouldn't feel... it wouldn't feel right," I agreed. We were sitting on the floor in the nest I'd made and I leaned back against one of the pillow, letting myself recline. I smiled at Eddie. "And I promise I don't even snore."
